OFF Festival Club: French Typhoon Sweeps into Poland
The OFF Festival Club is back! Headlining the next club edition of one of Europe’s most original music festivals is the legendary French electro duo DAT Politics, who will perform at Cafe Kulturalna in Warsaw on December 2, 2012.
DAT Politics was formed in Lille, France, in 1999 and was immediately hailed as the planet’s most ecstatic party combo. Their live shows are the stuff of legends, and the roaring typhoon that is DAT Politics has wreaked havoc on dancefloors all over the world. With enough turbo-pop, broken beats, and punk energy to share with about a hundred garage bands, the group has earned cult status and commissions for remixes from the likes of Yacht, Jaga Jazzist, and Architecture in Helsinki.
They have released records for such underground electronic institutions as A-Musik, Fat Cat, and Tigerbeat6, while Chicks on Speed Records became their home for many years. This April the duo came out with their latest record, tellingly titled Blitz Gazer, on the prestigious label Sub Rosa.
