Katowice is the capital city of Upper Silesia, the heart of 2.1 million habitants region.

Dolina Trzech Stawow (Three Ponds Valley) is an unusual place in the city. The park is stretched between two housing estates: Osiedle Paderewskiego and Muchowiec (at Gornoslaska and Murckowska streets). It took its name from the three small ponds, which have their own marina. Many walkers who are looking for the refuge from the city’s bustle frequent the paths in the park.
