OFF Festival Club Katowice moved to different venue

We wish to announce that due to circumstances beyond our control, OFF Festival Club Katowice (April 16) will be moved to Teatr Gugulander (ul. Jagiellońska 17A, Katowice). The program will remain unchanged, and will feature Niwea (whose second album is coming out soon), Kid606, Zs, and noise legend Merzbow.

If you’re expecting an evening with light, easy, and pleasant music, get ready for a real shock. “We’re incredibly demanding live, both for the audience and ourselves. This music hurts,” says Zs leader Sam Hillmer in an interview for Era Music Garden.

“If you appreciate physical and emotional intensity, you won’t be let down. Of course, if you consider the aesthetics of Zs’ music, it certainly isn’t easy listening, but it makes for an amazing concert experience. For those who still aren’t convinced, I can promise that regardless of the kind of music we play, we know how to make the audience feel united at our shows, not alienated,” he adds in an interview with Onet.pl.

The concert will definitely be a unique experience, if not just because of the sheer volume. Audiences will have a rare opportunity to see Merzbow perform with a drummer. The Japanese emperor of noise will be accompanied on percussions by Balazs Pandi, a musician who has performed with such acts as Otto von Schirach, Venetian Snares, and the Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble.
