Magic surf

Frankie & The Heartstrings, Magic Kids, and Kamp! are the latest additions to the Radio 3 Presidency Stage lineup.

Frankie & The Heartstrings

Frankie & The Heartstrings are a very British band, in terms of sound as well as origin. Their debut album Hunger, produced by Edwyn Collins, garnered rave reviews from critics and fans alike. As “NME” put it: Hunger will, like all great albums, undoubtedly polarise opinions, but take Frankie to your hearts and it’ll swallow you whole.”

Magic Kids

Indie surf? This Memphis quintet revives the sound of the Beach Boys’ glory days. “This is, basically, the spirit of America before Dylan and the Beatles,“ observes “The Guardian.” Judging by the Magic Kids’ debut album, released last summer on Matador records, the reviews are spot-on.

Kamp!

It’s been a while since a Polish alternative band last debuted this spectacularly, although technically Kamp! have yet to release a full-length record. With their tasteful sounds and catchy tunes, their singles have become outrageously popular online, and the unique vibe of their live shows has earned them quite a following. Go Poland!
